Windows (all) Tip -  The Best Free Software of 2017

Windows and macOS don't get the attention they used to in today's mobile world. But we have not fully abandoned the desktop. The real work (and a lot of the play) of computing requires a full personal computer system. To get the most out of that, you need software.

Some amazing finds such as Shade for sandboxing and photo editors nearly as powerful as Adobe Photoshop.

Win 10 Tip -  Activate God Mode in Windows 10

God Mode is one of our favorite tweaks for previous versions of Windows, and it's alive and well with Windows 10.

You can use system recovery tools to fix most of your computer problems. However, there are times when you'll need to address such issues in a manual way, like, for example, when your Windows computer won't boot. In these cases, you can use a tool named Bootrec.exe.   Windows (all) Tip -  Download AVG Antivirus Free 2017 Offline Installer

If you visit the AVG website and download the setup of AVG Antivirus Free 2017, AVG Antivirus or AVG Internet Security, you get the web setup of AVG instead of the full or offline installer.

Although there is nothing wrong in downloading the web setup and then running the same to download and install the product, many users who want to install AVG on an offline PC might want to download the offline installer.

Win 10 Tip -  Fix: Windows Update Stuck Downloading Updates In Windows 10

At times, while downloading and installing updates, you might notice that Windows Update has stuck at 0%, 30% or 99% without displaying any specific error. When the Windows Update is stuck at a particular figure without any progress, it usually doesn't display any error. Because Windows Update doesn't display error, users find it hard to diagnose the issue.

Windows (all) Tip -  Why That Computer You Purchased Was Such a Great Deal! Advertising Paid for It

How to Clean Crapware From a New PC.

As a general rule, we recommend users start fresh with a new computer. Wipe the disk clean, and install Windows [version of your choice].

If one visits MS Store and the Signature PCs, he/she will notice how "clean" they are and a certification that the computer you buy will be pure OS and hardware--no advertising or trialware or some other gimmick that needs to be uninstalled.

Back to "no such thing as free" or almost no such thing.
